Certified Mechanic

Duties

• General maintenance and repair of Nova, New Flyer, Trident, and Dart coaches which includes brake systems, suspensions, engines, hydraulics, electrical, air conditioning and fuel systems, transmissions and driveline components.
• Will be required to rebuild and order parts and change off buses needing repairs.

Qualifications

• BCTQ and/or Interprovincial Certification with Air Brakes Certification.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and air brake systems.
• Authorized CVIP Inspector with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and must be able to obtain and hold a Class 2 licence with air brake endorsement.
• Will be required to obtain a Class 2 learners licence prior to hire if not currently a holder of a class 3 or higher licence.
• Must have demonstrated a safe driving record.

• These positions require working various shifts and weekends.
