Apprentice Mechanic
Duties
General maintenance and repair of Orion, New Flyer, Trident, and Dart coaches which includes brake systems, suspensions, engines, hydraulics, electrical, air conditioning and fuel systems, transmissions and driveline components. Will be required to rebuild and order parts and change off buses needing repairs.
Qualifications
ELTT or foundation training in Mechanics.
A good understanding and working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and air brake systems is required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and must be able to obtain and hold a Class 2 licence with air brake endorsement.
Will be required to obtain a Class 2 learners licence prior to hire if not currently a holder of a class 3 or higher licence. Must have demonstrated a safe driving record.
Additional Information
These positions require working shifts and weekends.
